Review operations spending and shared services to save money and ensure that donor funds are used efficiently possible by reducing back-office expenses.

 

RESULT

  • Conducted a thorough analysis of operational spending areas by activity and cost to identify savings opportunities
  • Focused on corporate finance and human resources infrastructure because of repeated redundancies and operational inefficiencies that required excess staff
  • Conducted process flow mapping to identify redundant tasks and inefficient processes
  • Outsourced cheque processing service and other low-level financial value-add tasks, and selected a company-wide HRIS to reduce staff overlap and improve service
  • Client savings resulted in a 4:1 return on investment in this project
